How it works

Captain investigates your case the way a great clinician would — tirelessly.

Helm turns the pile of records, symptoms, and half-remembered appointments behind a long undiagnosed illness into a living investigation: ranked theories, a clear next step, and a memory of everything that's already been tried. Here's the loop.

  1. 01

    Bring everything into one place

Upload records from any provider — visit notes, lab panels, imaging reports, scope results — as PDFs or photos. You can also record or upload visit audio. Captain analyzes the pages within your allowance and suggests structured details; extracted lab values remain in review until you approve them against the source.

  2. 02

    Captain reads the whole case

When you ask Captain to read your case, it brings together the documented symptoms, confirmed labs, appointments and narrative available to that case and produces an investigative briefing. You can re-read as the documented picture changes.

  3. 03

    It ranks the most-likely explanations

Captain returns a differential: the 3–5 conditions that best fit your documented pattern, each with a pattern-strength score, the evidence behind it, and what would confirm or rule it out. Every theory cites the specific data points it's grounded in — so you and your doctor can check its work.

  4. 04

It tells you what to do next

For each theory, Captain surfaces the single most informative next step — a specific test, a type of specialist, or a question to bring to your next visit — so you're not guessing what to push for.

  5. 05

It remembers what's already been worked up

Captain tracks the tests and set-aside possibilities documented in your workspace, including the reason recorded for each, so the next specialist can start from a clearer summary of what is already known.

  6. 06

It hands the case off cleanly

When it's time to see someone, Captain builds a visit-prep packet tuned to that specialist, drafts referral or second-opinion letters, and creates a one-page case snapshot you can print or download.

What makes Captain's read trustworthy

A second AI argues against itself

Captain Critic runs an adversarial pass on the leading theories — surfacing the strongest counter-arguments — so you see both sides before you act, not a single confident answer.

Grounded in your data, not the internet

Captain names supporting records so you can inspect them. Verified-source gates keep uncertain lab matches in review, and a separate verifier can flag unsupported output rather than presenting it as settled fact.

Research, surfaced for you

Per-theory briefs pull together the typical diagnostic path, the treatment landscape, vetted patient communities, and open clinical trials — the reading you'd otherwise do across a dozen tabs.

What Captain is — and isn't

Captain is an investigator and a preparation tool. It surfaces patterns, possibilities, and the questions worth asking. It is not a diagnosis and it doesn't replace your doctor — pattern strength reflects how well your documented case fits a condition's typical presentation, not a verdict.

The goal is to walk into every appointment as the most-prepared person in the room — with the full picture read and connected by Captain, the right questions ready, and a record of everything that's already been tried. Clinical decisions stay with you and your providers.
